China and Australia

I thought China did a so-so performance, but seeing the photographs made me reconsider. Their fireworks display was artistically intricate. To explain with an analogy, if you've watched the 1998 movie "Music from Another Room," China is Eric (the Sniper), while Australia is Danny (the Shotgun).

China performance and Australia performance is divided by 2 non-fireworks photos

Enjoy the flowers.

grabe, beautiful!!! the manila bay shots are as spectacular as the fireworks. my vote goes neither to China nor Australia. My vote goes to Vic for best amateur photographer! :)

amateur has a positive connotation, ah. someone who does it out of love. ;)

Haha, salamat mike. It's still ok if I do it out of lust, right? hehe. j/k

Wait, for everyone, I have a game. Think of titles that could describe scenes that you see in the different fireworks. Game? Game!!

Thanks guys. I am more than compensated for the sore muscles I had from standing on the boulders of the Manila Bay seawall. :D

Guys, if you can, go on the 30th. The Philippine team will be performing. Let's support our own! (But, I think, they have foreigners in the team. :D ) Anyway, malay niyo makakita tayo ng mga Pilandok (mouse deer), Flying lemurs or kung anumang endemic species of animals or plants sa fireworks. Hehe. The least benefit you can get is the company of joyous people saying ahhh's and whow's in unison and of course, the refreshing sea breeze. ;)

Nice job mite! F/14-F/16 is the perfect range for my lens. Use from 2 secs to 6 secs shutterspeed depending on the fireworks, from fast and aggressively bright to slow and dramatic respectively. Good thing I borrowed a very sturdy tripod with ballhead. :)
